Why Pole Dancing?

In the past few years a phenomenon has been occurring as pole dancing has made it’s way into mainstream fitness.  It has brought groups of women together to experience working out in an entirely new way.  The mixture of gymnastics, dance, and acrobatics has proved an extremely enjoyable way to reach fitness goals.

Pole Dancing is an incredible workout because it encompasses resistance training and toning, cardio, flexibility, balance and stability, and coordination.  It targets the abdominals, back, and shoulders as well as arms and legs.  In addition one of most amazing side effects is the sense of empowerment and self-discovery.

The Vertitude seeks to create a sisterhood of students in a non-competitive environment, where support and encouragement are offered in a safe, private place.  Pole is accessible to women of all walks of life and different fitness levels, and most of all, it is a lot of fun!
